CES Pensacola Central, FL: Second Branch Opens in Pensacola, Florida
[Pensacola, Florida] — Surrounded by sandy white beaches in the Florida Panhandle, Pensacola has a fascinating cultural history: it’s known as the city of five flags due to being owned by five different nations at certain points throughout history. Located approximately 13 miles from the border of Alabama, it’s also a convenient place to open a branch in Florida for both new and existing customers of City Electric Supply. Various businesses such as churches, automotive centers, and plumbing and electrical services surround this new branch that’s part of an industrial park.
“This location is chosen thoughtfully. It’s a prime spot, being that we are located centrally in this area, and we are located near some really nice beaches,” said Branch Manager Richy Smart.
Richy Smart has been with City Electric Supply for eight years and is now serving as the branch manager of Pensacola Central. Smart said his customer base would consist of residential and commercial electricians in the immediate area, but on the weekends, they will likely get their fair share of customers interested in DIY projects for their homes.
Smart said he anticipates a lot of new business, and getting the branch prepared for the opening was a lot of work, but well worth it.
“It’s kind of a long story, but we’ve had to get everything we needed to do done in the past three months, and it was difficult. The building was already there, but we still had to clean, rebuild the walls, paint, stock, and build the right shelving.”
He said what makes his branch unique is the team of people he has on his side.
“We’ve got a really good group of guys, including my son, Gaven, who is working as a driver and at the counter. He’s only 20, and it’s his second job. It’s great to have him on the team and part of the family business.”
Now that his branch is complete, Richy said he admires all of the hard work and months put into creating a space that is just right and that he looks forward to this stage of his career.
“It’s a beautiful branch. We’re one of the newer branches, and we’ve got a round counter. It’s more accessible and much more aesthetically pleasing than the standard counter, but our team is really what makes this branch unique and will drive our success. Everyone has a great, positive attitude and is eager to learn.”
