Episode 45 | NSI Industries
City Electric Supply (CES) and its valued manufacturing partner NSI Industries recently teamed up to assist with the construction of a new NSI business operations building in North Carolina. With the help of CES Corporate Solutions and the local branch CES Waxhaw, the project could not have gone smoother. Learn how the partnership between CES and NSI grew even stronger through this collaboration.
CES Corporate Solutions and NSI Collaborate to Build Something Great
NSI manufactures tools and products for electrical, HVAC, and building technology. The company has partnered with CES since the early 1980s when CES began opening branches in the United States. Today, NSI distributes products through over 550 locations across the United States and Canada.
NSI Executive Vice President of Sales Tom Wallace spoke about the exciting project and why CES was the perfect choice to help.
“Our goal was to utilize NSI products throughout the building,” said Wallace. “We wanted to have the ability to showcase our products and how they’re used in various applications. As a full-line distributor of NSI products, CES supplied all our material for this project.”
CES Director of Sales and Operations for Corporate Solutions Nancy Ramdon-Connolly explained the division’s specialization.
“Corporate Solutions focuses on supporting corporate clients with a regional, national, or global footprint. We’ve tailored our services and offerings to create a one-stop shop for our corporate clients, beginning with concept and design with an easy transition to the electrical and lighting construction supply process,” said Ramdon-Connolly.
She continued, “We’re also committed to the long-term life of the spaces we helped bring to occupancy; Corporate Solutions follows through with our clients’ post-construction needs by supporting them with our facility, maintenance, and warranty services. Our clients are our number one priority, and we work hard to earn their trust and confidence at every step of the process.”
Corporate Solutions assisted with the electrical installation by coordinating with the architect, general contractor, and electrical contractor. The division also helped manage the supply chain to keep the project on schedule.
“Corporate Solutions was responsive throughout,” said Wallace. “Despite supply chain issues in the electrical industry, the team went above and beyond to help us get what we needed by working with other vendors in the industry. That included lighting, wiring, switchgear, and other products NSI does not distribute.”
CES Waxhaw Provides an Assist for the Win
NSI also worked closely with CES Waxhaw. Wallace said NSI knew that CES had local inventory not only at the branch but also at the nearby CES Charlotte distribution center. He also mentioned that the branch had a good relationship with the electrical contractor on the project.
“CES Waxhaw helped inform us of anything that needed attention throughout the whole project,” said Wallace. “Their staff really went above and beyond.”
“We are powered by our branch network; they are essential to our success in the Corporate Solutions division and the solutions we’re offering our clients nationally,” said Ramdon-Connolly. “We’re making a difference in how we do business, and I’m exceptionally proud to see it coming to fruition.”
NSI Can’t Wait to Debut Its New Building
Wallace shared why he’s proud of the results and what it means for the business.
“From a cultural standpoint, it’s going to be a game changer for our employees. They will be able to collaborate with other departments and divisions within our company to provide better solutions for our customers.”
He also couldn’t say enough about the assistance from City Electric Supply.
“They’ve been on top of the whole project throughout,” said Wallace. “Working with Corporate Solutions and CES Waxhaw has been a fabulous experience, even better than I expected. I would recommend them to any of our other customers.”
“We’re extremely proud of this partnership with NSI and the collaboration of all affiliated in this process. It takes a team. We’re glad we were able to bring this concept to life for NSI,” said Ramdon-Connolly.
