Over 200 People Help CES Albemarle Celebrate Big Milestone

A City Electric Supply (CES) branch in North Carolina recently reached an impressive milestone  — 25 years in the community. And CES Albemarle invited the community in to help them celebrate. Branch Manager David Gillis said that several of his long-time customers were thrilled to join in the festivities.

“A lot of folks were anticipating it,” Branch Manager David Gillis said. “The word of mouth was really good. We had a really good turnout.”

In fact, the branch had around 240 people at the celebration, making it one of the biggest events in the history of CES Albermarle. 

“It was a really good counter day,” David added.

And there was no doubt that the food and festivities were a part of the branch anniversary event’s success. 

“We had plenty of food catered, and everybody loved it,” Gillis added. “As far as the prizes, there were a lot of giveaways. Vendors really appreciated the participation.”

Engaging with the community was a big part of the event as well.

“We had a chance to interact with customers and folks that we’ve serviced over the years,” said Gillis.

Working As a Team

The longevity of the CES Albemarle branch could not have been possible without the team behind it.

“This is my 24th year,” David explained. “And the rest of the guys have been here 20-plus years. As far as everybody working together, it’s just a big team. It’s like a big family.”

When asked about the future goals of CES Albermarle, David said he plans to build on the branch’s current success.

“We’re definitely growing with our customer base. We’ve got a lot of infrastructure coming our way, so we know we’re reaching out to more people,” David added. “We have the products, and the demand is there.”

And CES Albemarle is open to everyone.

“We take pride in servicing our customers,” said David. “We service everyone from local contractors, warehouses, and manufacturing to industrial vendors.”

Their dedication to serving the community of Albemarle has contributed greatly to the longevity of the branch. 

“Although CES is one of the largest distributors in the U.S., we have the local hometown relationships that have made our locations such a success, like the Albemarle branch,” added District Manager Scott Broome. “The branch enjoys servicing their customers, and it’s the reason David and his team have been a big part of the area’s growth for 25 years.”
