Thomas Hartland-Mackie Receives Letter from Satisfied Customer
Sometimes a satisfied customer looks like a job without complaints, and sometimes a satisfied customer looks like a smile. Sometimes, it’s a two-page letter of praise to City Electric Supply CEO Thomas Hartland-Mackie.
“I hear praise regularly about City Electric Supply Tucker,” said CES District Manager Daniel Phillips, “but I’ve never gotten a letter about it.”
That is, until recently when satisfied customer Angela Wade wrote to Hartland-Mackie about her experience at CES Tucker.
A Friendly Hand
Wade is a retired public school teacher who recently started work at Bray Electrical Services, organizing and stocking supplies.
Organization skills? She’s got them. However, she’d also be the first to tell you that her knowledge of electrical supplies is not as established.
“I have learned much over the last two years,” wrote Wade in her letter, “but I still say things like, ‘you know that square weather head thingy.’”
When she started working with CES Tucker, though, she knew she was in good hands.
“I began working with [CES Tucker] and noticed immediately that the guys that worked there were all really nice and engaging,” wrote Wade. “And I do not mean the standard greetings… people who work with the public recite without even thinking or looking at you. No… these guys were genuine.”
A Heartwarming Letter
Wade’s gratitude is matched by the branch’s appreciation for her and her letter.
“It’s the most heartwarming way of receiving recognition,” smiled Phillips. “I told the branch — these things don’t come often. Give yourselves a pat on the back. Keep up the hard work.”
And that’s exactly what they’ll do because it’s what they’ve always done.
“Take care of your customers,” said Phillips. “That’s how they do business.”
And that’s why they were the perfect people to work with Wade. Between their industry knowledge and their passion for taking care of customers, they were able to take care of Angela’s every need.
“What sets us apart is that we can help anyone from experts in the industry to people who are new to it,” explained Phillips. “The electrical market is evolving daily, so people need to rely on us to have the information that can make their lives easier. That’s what we provide, and that’s what sets our supply houses apart from other supply houses.”
CES Tucker is the perfect example of what CES stands for and what branches have to offer — and the team there will be happy to know a letter saying just that has made its way to the hands of Thomas Hartland-Mackie.
