A Quick Chat with Our Cityzen: Kevin Darcy
Meet CES Burbank’s outside salesman Kevin Darcy. District Manager Brian said he works long hours and many weekends. He has worked for many electrical contractors in his past. His commitment and work ethic are what make CES a great company!
For the month of November, we had a chat with Kevin for his outstanding customer service and dedication. It is our pleasure to highlight Kevin and everything he does to make CES outstanding.
CES: How long have you worked with CES?
Kevin: It will be 10 years this December.
CES: What is your position now and where did you start in the company?
Kevin: I started as a branch manager and then I decided to move to outside sales.
CES: What’s been your biggest accomplishment/most proud moment while at CES?
Kevin: I have learned outside sales and how to bid switchgear, but the most rewarding thing I have done is recognizing and promoting talent.
CES: What’s your favorite thing about working for this company?
Kevin: Customer service and branch autonomy, we can “out service” anyone. We stock what we can sell. For instance, today I delivered a commercial meter socket to a customer across Los Angeles, while none of our competitors had the material. Our competition doesn’t have the ability to make emergency deliveries to customers and we do. The product was in the customer’s hands in just a few hours, which allowed him to be operational on Monday morning. Hopefully, we will pick them up as a new account.
CES: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Kevin: When I am 71? If I am not dead, I want to be top sales rep in my division!
CES: What is one unique thing you do at work every day?
Kevin: My sense of humor helps me relate to the customer.
