Power Up Your Summer with Refreshing Watermelon Lemonade
August is one of the hottest months of the year! This means dangerously high temperatures can result in heat-related illnesses. It’s important to take measures to stay cool, remain hydrated, and take necessary measures to beat the heat.
Here is another fun way to keep your cool during the hot summer days. This takes less than 15 minutes and it’s around five easy steps. For National Watermelon Day, we prepared this watermelon lemonade that will keep you refreshed, hydrated, and will add a little sweetness to your day.
For this project, we used and tested out the powerful Milwaukee hammer drill and a Milwaukee Hackzall. Remember to always practice safety before you begin any project!
Things You’ll Need:
- Two Watermelons
- Lemonade
- Measuring Cup
- Ladle
- Milwaukee Hammer Drill
- Mixing Paddle
- Milwaukee M18 Hackzall
- Blender (optional)(This makes 4-8 servings)
Step 1
Using the Milwaukee Hackzall and a clean blade, make a rectangular cut atop of the watermelon.
Step 2
Switch to the hammer drill, and use a kitchen mixing paddle to softly mix the inside of the watermelon. Make sure you use the drill softly otherwise you’ll make a big mess. This will blend the watermelon and there will be more juice.
Step 3
Scoop the watermelon into the measuring cup. For this part, you may choose to puree the watermelon in batches until smooth.
Step 4
Pour a cup of the watermelon juice to a drinking glass.
Step 5
Next and final step, pour the lemonade into your cups, and stir to combine. You may garnish with a few lemon slices and some mint leaves.
Add some ice and voila! These irresistible watermelon drinks are all done. So for your next backyard BBQ, or potluck function, this refreshing watermelon lemonade will quench any thirst!
