Episode 57 | Meeting the Demand & Thriving

Reading Time: 3 minutes

According to GlobalData, the construction market in the United States is expected to grow annually at a rate of over three percent between 2023 and 2026.

And that trend has increased the demand for materials in the industrial, residential, and commercial sectors.

City Electric Supply (CES) is proud to be a part of the growth taking place in the industry. Just in the first quarter of 2023, CES opened 13 new branches across nine states and the island of Puerto Rico.

“We’re excited to be expanding our footprint in Puerto Rico just two years after opening our first location on the island,” said Co-Chief Operating Officer John Gray. “It all starts with finding the right people. That’s a top priority each time we open a new branch. So we can continue providing our customers with what they’re used to—unmatched, personalized service.”

From the Arecibo branch;

“From start to finish, it took us about eight months to get everything set up for this Arecibo location,” said Senior Regional Manager Mike Bertone. “Right off of the main road in a stand-alone building, this location has plenty of parking and additional storage in the front and back to meet the needs of our customers.”

 Our East Miami Airport branch;

“Our ultimate goal will always be to continue to grow our branch network. It’s a wonderful feeling to have CES East Miami Airport open and be of service in that market,” said Regional Manager Aramis Montenegro.

To the Lake Wales branch;

“Our customers’ first comment when they walk in is, ‘Finally! CES is open,’” said CES Lake Wales Branch Manager Todd Creech. “We are excited to be here and help them with whatever they need.”

And more!

Growing Careers & Customer Relationships

CES has always had a huge presence in the southeast since entering the U.S. market nearly 40 years ago. But CES isn’t just growing, we’re thriving.

Recently, CES celebrated two branches reaching a combined 50 years of service at the Jacksonville North and Jacksonville Beach locations.

“I have several team members at this location that have been with us for at least half a decade,” said Jacksonville North Branch Manager Heather Patrick. “Each employee at my location strives to provide the best customer service each and every day. The staff will go above and beyond every day to support our local customers.”

And not only has it been team members that have worked together to contribute to the success of CES, but customers who have stayed with us along the way.

“We’ve been to weddings, graduations, Christmas parties, you name it,” said CES Jacksonville Beach Branch Manager Wayne Coggin. “My customers are a part of my family, and we all look at it that way.”

Continued Expansion

As CES proceeds to grow in 2023, customers can expect continued quality service at our 550+ locations across the United States.

“My team and I have been trusted with a big responsibility,” said CES Arecibo Branch Manager Jose “Pepe” Rodriguez. “And it’s a dream come true to bring this branch to life and service the local community.”

“It’s important for our customer base to see the continued expansion of CES locations here in Florida. We are happy to have a team that understands our customer service expectations,” added Montenegro.

And CES strives to continue accomplishing the goal of getting essential material to customers whenever and wherever they need it.

“We have been able to expand to the level we are today because of the long-term support from so many of our customers,” added Patrick.
