Mackie Monday | Giving Back
Welcome to another installment of Mackie Monday!
In my Mackie Monday last Thanksgiving , I referenced the Cowboys getting destroyed by the Panthers this time last year, I am glad to say they are in a much better position this year beating the Redskins making this the 10th win in a row. I must say that makes me incredibly happy. I also used that time to share with you some of the life-changing organizations to which we donated.
While time marches on, my feelings haven’t changed. A year later, I’m still grateful to support those many organizations on a national basis. It is not only our opportunity to pay it forward, but I feel it is our duty.
It brings me great pride to say I know many members of our CES family feel the same way. From individuals volunteering their time at local charities to entire branches supporting the sponsorship of children’s advocacy centers, medical centers, research centers, social efforts, and community efforts.
Our staff doesn’t represent a job; they represent a culture and way of life of which I’m proud to be included. We have incredible employees throughout our organization – coworkers, customers, and vendors alike, see the difference you make every day.
We are stronger together and I am so grateful every day for what our CES family pays forward to others.
We are proud this year to have supported the North Texas Food Bank, the da Vinci School, Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy, Booker T. Washington, UNICEF, Carry the Load, Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Salesmanship of Dallas, and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
Additionally, during the last two months, we have focused on raising funds for donation to the American Cancer Society and this is your opportunity to help us continue giving back.
October is breast cancer awareness month, so during our Stick it to Cancer campaign, we accepted donations and offered to match the total dollar-for-dollar. This month, we are in the throes of rounding out our Movember contest, hosted to raise money and awareness surrounding the plague of testicular cancer.
Our employees submitted photos of their facial hair to compete for the top CEStache through voting on Facebook. For every like their photos receive, $1 will be donated to the American Cancer Society – I hope you’ll follow along for the semi-finals!
I am so grateful to our many teams, customers, and vendors for creating the success of CES. Without your support and dedication, we could not accomplish what we have. I look forward to hearing more stories of giving back in your communities and hope you continue to thrive and push those relationships forward.
I am thankful for you this holiday season. I send you all the warmest wishes and hope you enjoy happy times and safe travels with your families.
