Episode 36 | CES Highland

Reading Time: 3 minutes

City Electric Supply (CES) recently celebrated the grand opening of CES Highland with its tight-knit community in Indiana. More than 100 people and over 20 manufacturers helped welcome the new branch. And together, they raised over $800 for Make-A-Wish®.

“I’ve been in the industry almost ten years now and with CES for about two. Opening this branch after all our hard work and dedication just feels fantastic,” said Branch Manager Jason Markase. “I’m very happy they chose me for this, and I can’t wait to prove myself.”

The CES Highland Grand Opening Included Product Demonstrations, Tacos, Prizes, and More

The Highland team proudly showed off their new space and what they offer — the products and services customers love.

“Everyone got to see the selection that we offer as a supply house. Whether it’s the product we carry or our smiling faces, I hope our customers see that we are here for them every step of the way,” said Markase.

Manufacturers such as Lutron and Milwaukee also greeted attendees and offered on-site demonstrations, special promotions, and exclusive deals.

And the fun didn’t stop there. Visitors won prizes from raffles, including two Blackstone four-burner grills and Major League Baseball tickets. They also enjoyed a catered lunch with tacos, and manufacturers set up cornhole to play through the afternoon.

DragonFly Renovation Electrician Sean Walsh said, “The food is great. I like talking to the vendors about materials and lighting.”

Senior Groundman at Hernandez Electrical Raymond Hernandez followed, “It’s a great atmosphere. It feels like you’re at a party with all of your family and friends.”

CES Grows to Meet Each Community’s Needs

City Electric Supply is the seventh-largest electrical wholesale distributor in the U.S. and growing. The company finds continued success as it adds new branches where it can best support customers and businesses in their local communities.

“This is our third new branch opening in the last three years,” said District Manager Jeff Williamson. “Now we’ve grown to six branches in the area. The teams have grown our customer base, and our existing customers have been utilizing this new Highland location daily.”

CES Highland Gives Back to the Community with a Make-A-Wish Fundraiser

Markase and the team were also glad to raise over $800 for Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit that grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

“I’m proud to include Make-A-Wish because what they do for children is incredible,” said Markase. “Our company has a department that specifically manages charity work, CES Cares, and I think that’s a really great thing that we offer.”

“We’re a big sponsor of Make-A-Wish throughout the United States,” said Co-Chief Operating Officer for North America John Gray. “As a family-owned business, we believe in supporting children and families going through difficult times.”

A Close-Knit Team Provides Quality Service to the Highland Community

The team has already begun filling orders and is ready to take on more.

“What stands out is the camaraderie in this branch,” said Williamson. “All the guys that work here are positive and hungry to grow the business quickly. They’re always ready to service customers.”

“That’s what we do here,” said Markase. “We’re here to help, and we’re very attentive to all our customers’ needs.”
