Close Customer Connections
For City Electric Supply (CES) team members, making connections with local businesses is essential to strengthening customer relationships. That’s especially true for Branch Manager Dustin Kee of CES Midwest City and father-and-son Co-Owners Dale and Garrett Jackson of Jackson Electric.
“They are more than just customers to me; they’re my close friends,” said Kee.
“Over the years, our relationship with Dustin has become a true friendship,” added the Jacksons.
Jackson Electric is a family-owned and operated commercial and residential electrical wiring and installation company in Chandler, Oklahoma, with over 40 years of service in the industry.
From the very beginning
Jackson Electric has worked closely with the team at CES Midwest City ever since Kee began working for the branch in March of 2014.
“I’ve been with CES for 10 years and began working with Jackson Electric around the same time I started,” said Kee.
“There’s hardly a day that goes by that we don’t call and text each other about work, our personal lives, or anything else we’ve got going on,” said the Jacksons.
The association began when Jackson Electric’s crew frequented the branch for bulbs, receptacles, and other supplies they needed.
“Dustin always answered the phone and responded in a quick manner for everything we needed. He and the team at CES Midwest City have always been the very best at getting products at the best prices,” added the Jacksons.
From customers to close friends
“I officially met Dale and Garrett in person when we started to work on bigger projects like hotels, schools, and other small businesses,” Kee explained.
“We also worked on projects for a major restaurant and a technology center,” added the Jacksons.
Soon after, Kee hit it off with the Jacksons and they started spending time together outside of work.
“We go hunting and fishing together all the time,” said Kee.
Growing from customers to close friends, Kee believes his relationship with the Jacksons has strengthened the way they do business together.
“We rely on each other to make our business work, and that trust has only grown stronger the more we spend time together,” remarked Kee.
While customer and team member friendships are common in the industry, every connection creates strong bonds and makes City Electric Supply a people-focused business.
