“It’s fantastic being able to finally open the brand-new store,” beamed Morales.

Morales had one main goal in mind when opening the newest City Electric Supply branch.
“First and foremost, I want a level of customer service people can’t get at other suppliers,” he explained. “Every customer who walks in is going to be treated like the most important person in the room. That’s our strength.”
What’s something that will help them provide impressive customer service? The fact that they have the resources of a global company with the perks of a locally run branch. Simply put — they can get you anything you need, but they’ll also remember your name.
“We have a mom-and-pop feel, we work Saturdays, and my daughters come to work with me,” Morales said. “Our branch has a comfortable environment so people know we’re really here to help them.”
Perfect Location
Another key to impressive customer service is a manager who knows the Riverside area like the back of his hand.
“I made sure to put the Riverside skyline and mission bell on our counters,” said Morales. “It’s a tribute to the community that I really wanted to have in the branch. The community is super special to me because I was born and raised in Riverside.”
And having that connection to the area is just another reason why Morales pushed for this new opportunity.
“At my last job, I was traveling too much,” explained Morales. “When I heard about this opportunity where I could spend more time with family and at home in Riverside, I called District Manager Brian Andringa and said, ‘Do you have a manager for that new location yet?’ Brian said, ‘No, do you know of anyone?’ And I said, ‘I think you’re talking to him.’”
Turns out, he was right, and Morales couldn’t be happier.
“My parents are five minutes away in one direction and my family is five minutes away in the other direction,” said Morales. “I love my city and am proud to have a branch in my own backyard.”
Above and Beyond Service
And if Morales sounds like an expert on Riverside, he’s even more of an expert on the electrical industry. He’s been in the industry for 20 years, some of which he spent as an electrician in the field.
“Between the three of us in the office, we have roughly 60 years of experience,” said Morales. “I am extremely confident that we can help anyone who sets foot in our store.”
And he’s willing to go above and beyond to make that happen.
“If someone needs something fast, my guys can jump in a car and run it up,” said Morales. “And I’m right around the corner if customers need anything even when no one’s in the branch. We believe in having close relationships with customers.”
