An electrical supplier in Greenville, South Carolina, invited the community to join in and celebrate a huge milestone —25 years in business. City Electric Supply (CES) Greenville SC welcomed longtime customers and valued vendors to the exciting anniversary event. Branch Manager Rob Brooks and District Manager Don Corbett shared the details of the day and what makes the branch a continued success.

“It was a great event. Everything went smoothly, and it was good to see so many customers, especially ones we haven’t seen in person for a while,” said Brooks.

Friendly Faces Congratulate Electrical Supplier

With approximately 100 customers in attendance, Brooks and Corbett were excited to have 13 vendors to support the celebration. Although it was the colder month of January, CES fortunately always knows how to care for its employees and guests.

“Setting up the tent and heaters to make the vendors and customers comfortable was worth doing. Everyone commented on how they appreciated it,” said Corbett.

Additionally, Brooks enjoyed watching newer team members have fun experiencing their first “Counter Day” event, which is well-known to customers for its promotional deals, prize raffles, and more. The branch donated the proceeds of the raffled prizes to the Make-A-Wish® Foundation.

Corbett thanked the entire CES team for their help to make the event a success, including VP of Operations Jim Lawson, Co-Chief Operating Officer Andrew Dawes, and Regional Manager R.T. Smith, who attended to show their support.

A Legacy Customers Can Count On

After the impressive turnout, there’s no doubt the community considers CES Greenville SC one of its own.

“The key to our longtime success was the commitment to customers. With so many competitors in our market, building trust is the only way we earn and retain business. Working hard to follow through on what we say we’ll do so the customers can always count on us,” said Brooks.

Brooks also credited the CES fulfillment centers, which allow branches nationwide to source hard-to-find items and complete orders as early as the next day.

“I think this event had a positive impact on our vendor relationships as well,” said Corbett. “They’re impressed with our 25 years, and it reminded them of all we’ve accomplished together.”

Building Toward the Future One Employee at a Time

Brooks said he plans to spend even more time training his younger team members to reach their goals within the company.

“In 10, 15 years, they’re going to be the ones running the businesses as the managers and owners. Building their long-term relationships with customers and more experienced team members today, I think that’s the key,” said Brooks.

The electrical supplier in Greenville has a great future thanks to terrific relationships between employees, customers, vendors, and the community.

“I have employees say it all the time; the thing they really like is the friends and family atmosphere we have. And I want us to keep growing,” said Brooks.
