Branch Manager Mike Brown has been with CES for 10 months, preparing to open his first branch. From working in the warehouse and making deliveries to selling products and advertising the branch, Brown has worked hard to make sure everything is ready to make the branch successful.
With more than 20 years of experience in the electrical industry, Brown knows the ins and outs of working for a large supplier and how to make sure customers leave happy. He has branch manager experience and even worked as a branch manager for a competitor.
Brown’s team has over 50 years of experience combined, and although the team was completed only two months ago, he believes their hard work and dedication will bring in many customers.
“Our team is awesome. Brandon, our outside sales rep, makes an outstanding salesman between bench presses. He works day in and day out, and it does not go unnoticed. Blake, our inside salesman, is always in the zone; it might be the amount of coffee he drinks all day, every day,” Brown joked. “Jason is our operations manager and in-house guru. And last but not least, Willie, our driver, counter sales, and anything in between, is willing to do anything to get the job done — especially if I let him jam to music daily.”
The fired-up team at Farmers Branch is going to play a huge role in making this branch successful, but the location will also be a huge factor. Connected to the City Electric Supply Dallas Distribution Center, the Farmers Branch location will be the only branch out of 481 branches nationwide that is directly connected to a distribution center.
Brown can’t wait to get the branch up and running so he can grow the business in a new area. He knows what it takes to bring customers in, and with the supporting departments at CES Headquarters nearby, he won’t let anything get in the way, especially with his exceptional team beside him.
“The crew knows exactly how to handle the business. When others say it is not possible, we will make sure to find a way,” said Brown.
The coolest experience Brown has had since his start with CES is attending Orientation in September. From meeting everyone from other branches all over North America to learning the company’s history, Brown was blown away by the experience.
“Learning about where we came from and where the company is going shows me that I made the right decision joining CES. And with nationwide support from all the branch locations, we can better serve customers wherever they may be, whether they’re out of town, or just on the road for an important job.”
Lastly, Brown wants all of his customers to know that they are his first priority, which includes making sure they are fed, literally.
“Every Friday, we will provide free donuts and kolaches to anyone who stops by, because no one should start Friday off on a bad note. We just want to get to know everyone in the community and provide them with the best service possible.”
