The newest electrical supplier in Augusta, Georgia, welcomed over 200 customers to its grand opening. Branch Manager Gary Breland shared the details of the incredible full-house event on the afternoon of November 18.

“I was overwhelmed by the turnout,” said Breland. “My team members did a great job promoting the event and following up with reminders for the grand opening.”

District Manager Bruce Marvin, Regional Manager R.T. Smith, and VP of Operations Jim Lawson also attended to support the event. They remarked that it was one of the biggest turnouts in memory.

Great Food, Great Prizes, and Great Deals at CES Downtown Augusta

Breland and the rest of the CES team made sure there were plenty of reasons to attend. Shealy’s Bar-B-Que catered, providing delicious barbeque, fried chicken, and home-cooked vegetables. Fourteen vendors supported the event, including Milwaukee Tool, who offered 10% off purchases all day.

The electrical supplier in Augusta also raffled great prizes from Klein Tools, Wiha Tools, Milwaukee Tool, and more. Leviton graciously provided a TCL 55″ 4K UHD Smart TV as a prize. One grand prize winner took home a Reqteq RT-340, a portable wood pellet grill.

Best of all, the raffles raised a stunning $755 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

A Great Community and Budding Future for This Electrical Supplier

Breland joined City Electric Supply in January 2021. He has a little over 30 years in the industry, bringing considerable experience primarily in commercial and industrial. He’s been able to get right to work with a sizeable number of leads from the business contacts built up over the years.

“I was previously outside sales, and this new location and position have been a great opportunity and a great honor. It’s also impressive to watch how our five-person CES Downtown Augusta team has grown in such a short amount of time,” said Breland.

Augusta is well-known for hosting the Masters Tournament, a major championship in professional golf. Breland spoke about how quickly the area is building up, giving this new electrical supplier many new opportunities.

Breland also shared how the community quickly supported the new branch, even before the grand opening. “Other local businesses have stopped by and welcomed us. Every customer has been very welcoming and told us how appreciated we are and how convenient our location is.”
