CES Clarksville South: Historic Building Transforms into Impressive Electrical Supplier
After six months of hard work and renovations, a unique building just became a unique electrical supplier in Clarksville, Tennessee. We’re talking about City Electric Supply (CES) Clarksville South.
Solving Problems
“The building is right on Madison Street, one of the most-traveled roads in Clarksville, and it used to be a bank built in 1979, so it looks really nice,” said CES Clarksville South Branch Manager Jonathan De Lara.
Now, it’s a spot where you can find any electrical supplies in Clarksville from a knowledgeable team that can tell you all about it.
“It feels great helping customers solve problems,” said De Lara. “And we’re uniquely capable of doing that. We have all of the resources that come with CES, our own brands with TAMCO, control over pricing, and a real hometown feel, which makes a big difference.”
Hometown Feel
That hometown feel is important to De Lara and his team of Jacob Salin, Johnny Meyers, and Billy Reid.
De Lara has been in the business since 1994, first as a truck driver for Braid Electric, and then outside sales for CES. He’s been in the Clarksville market the entire time, and so has most of his team, including Johnny Myers. Myers was actually a retired Clarksville firefighter with 15 years of industry experience working for competitors before recently joining the CES team.
The ability to help you no matter what your project or situation is a testament to the extensive resources CES has access to, but also to the nature of it being a family-owned business.
“We’re a family-owned business, which means we treat everyone like family,” explained De Lara. “It’s a big advantage because we’re going to be working right there with you to get you what you need. We really can do whatever you need us to do.”
Future Growth
That being said, this Clarksville electrical supplier expects to see a lot of growth.
“I would love to add onto the branch in the next five years,” said De Lara. “We still have a functioning drive-through awning that we can enclose and make exclusive for wire-cutting services. There’s a lot we can do to help electricians in our area.”
But you don’t have to take De Lara’s word for it.
“Come in and see us!” said De Lara. “We would love to meet you and help you with whatever you’re working on.”
