[Little Rock, Arkansas] – Located on the outskirts of Little Rock, our newest branch, City Electric Supply Alexander, is in the capital of Arkansas and a well-visited tourist town. The town is home to the Clinton Presidential Library and a short drive to the Oaklawn Park where many Kentucky Derby contenders race.

“We aren’t far from Hot Springs, known as the Spa City due to the many natural hot springs located there,” said Branch Manager Johnny Alliston. “Visitors to the area can also enjoy a day of recreation on the Arkansas River and then have a nice meal from restaurants at the River Market.”

Before beginning preparation to open the Alexander branch, Alliston began his career at CES Batesville in December 2018 but has been in the industry since 1992.

“I have been to many training programs and have many years of experience alongside of my team that has a combined 50 years of experience,” said Alliston.

To prepare for the branch opening, the Alexander branch team put in a lot of work to make sure it was perfect for their customers.

“We put a lot of work into transforming the place from an old liquor store to what it is now, and we are very proud of our work,” said Alliston. “We had to paint, tear down walls, add the offices, add new walls, and put all of the racking in the warehouse and showroom.”

While putting the branch together, Alliston joked that he would gain a lot of traffic from people who did not know the old liquor store was now an electrical wholesale company.

“The Red Gate Liquor store sign was still up during renovations, and nearly three to four times a day, we would have a guest stop by to purchase liquor or beer,” laughed Alliston. “They were very shocked when they walked in and saw F4P ladders and a wall of Klein Tools products.”

The branch will be unique in many ways, but Alliston believes it will be most unique because of their product knowledge and customer-oriented team.

“Everyone on our team genuinely loves what they do, and that will play a big role in the quality of our customer service.”

Alliston couldn’t stop listing reasons why he loves working for CES, but his top three were how much room for growth it provides, how much his opinion matters, and how much it feels like working with family.

“Right when I started, Vice President of Operations Blair Feidler and District Manager Rusty Priest treated me like family,” said Alliston. “I didn’t know them from anywhere before, but it immediately felt like I’d known them for years.”

Alliston is ready to do what he can for his new customers and bring in individuals from the industrial, residential, and commercial markets.

“I believe this branch is going to be successful because I will be able to jump through hoops for customers. I have been in the business since 1992, and I know customer service goes a long way. If my customer wants something, I am going to do what I can to make sure they get it, and my team is going to do that as well.”
