CES: What is your position now and where did you start in the company?

Linda: I started as the branch manager and I’ve had the pleasure of being a manager since my start.

CES: How long have you worked with CES?

Linda: I’ve worked at CES for six years, and I’ve been in the electrical industry for 40 years.

CES: What’s been your biggest accomplishment/most proud moment while at CES?

Linda: In 2016, I hit the six-million-dollar sales mark. That is the biggest month I have had in my career.

CES: What’s your favorite thing about working for this company?

Linda: The freedom to run our business and cater the inventory to the specific customer base that we have. I believe that is what allows CES to grow in double digits each year. Another important reason is the employees are rewarded for a job well done. Every employee is rewarded for their hard work and dedication. I think that is awesome!

CES: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Linda: Hopefully I will retire with CES. I plan to continue teaching, mentoring, and training the team here to achieve high standards and I want this team to stand out. I want to engage them in continuous learning opportunities that will improve their overall performance and ensure they can meet their personal and professional goals. When I started working in this industry I was a woman in a man’s world. I was taught by a gentleman I worked for to always lead from the front, and never from around the corner. That is how I have been my entire career.

CES: What is one unique thing you do at work every day?

Linda: I bake chocolate chip cookies every day for our customers. I have been doing that for 40 years. It’s kind of interesting how some of the younger customers used to come in to the store with their fathers, and are now purchasing from us, they call me the cookie lady. We see our customers as family, they are around every day so we treat them like part of the family when they come in. I think that is very unique in today’s society.

Thank you for everything you do for CES, Linda !
